Quiz Rounders
This game needs a bit of preparation as you will need to prepare a list of questions to ask the girls
Split the Guides into two teams. Each team needs to lay out four bases in a square - just like in rounders. You can use chairs or jumpers or similar. The Guider asks a quiz question the first Guide on the first team. If the Guide answers the question correctly she moves to first base, as you do in rounders.
The Guider then asks a quiz question to the first Guide on the second team and, again, if she answers the question correctly she moves to first base. The Guider then goes back to the first team and asks the next Guide a question. Each time a Guide gets a question correct the girls on a base move to the next base to make space on the first base for the Guide who answered the question. When a Guide gets to fourth base they get a rounder for their team. If a Guides gets her question wrong they must go to the back of the queue. The team with the most rounders wins!
Tips: If you only have a few Guides you may get back to the first Guide before she has got around all the bases. This is fine - just ask her another question and if she gets it right all the girls can move on to their next base. |
