31st March 08 - Go For It! Fitness                    Click on the image to see more photos

Tonight we began a new Go For It! We completed two challenges for the Go For It! Fitness. We looked at how fit we are by testing our heart rate & lung capacity. Then we did some fun exercise on the trampette and dance mat.

17th March 08 - Night Walk

Tonight the Brownies and Guides joined forces for a walk in the Burscough countryside. Armed with torches and wellies, we headed for the fields to see Burscough by night. The Guides had planned the walk the week before so they led the way down the canal, accross the muddy fields and back to the Church Hall on the hour and a half walk. We all enjoyed our walk beneath the starry skies!

10th March 08 - Route Planning & Games

In preparation for our night walk next week, we got the map out to plan our route for the walk. After writing up the directions for the walk, we competed in a range of challenges from building a tower of cards to picking up matchsticks with chopsticks. Kayleigh & Becky came out as winners of the challenge night.

3rd March - Archery                       Click on the image for more archery photos

Tonight we ventured away from our usual meeting place to have a go at archery. We tried our hand at the sport at GreetbyHillSchool in Ormskirk where the Ormskirk Archery Club meet every Monday. The archery was staged indoors so we all kept nice and warm while enjoying an activity that usually takes place outside! With thanks to the volunteers of Ormskirk District Scouts who gave up their time for us.

25th February 08 - Mothers Day Promises

With Mother's Day approaching we set about making Mothers Day cards. We added special meaning to the cards by including promise cards that our mums can trade in to get help around the house. Some of the promises included cleaning our bedrooms, washing the dishes, laying the table and being kind to our brothers and sisters.

11th February 08 - The Superlambanana

Continuing our World in One City badge, tonight we learnt more about Liverpool's culture and looked at the world famous Superlambanana. We then designed our own Superlambananas painting them in our own unique way.

To celebrate Liverpool being European Capital of Culture in 2008, we began the 'World in OneCity' Challenge badge - a badge to learn more about Liverpool and the many cultures the city encaptures.
