Next to the train station you will find the Grove Youth and Community Centre. The centre holds all sorts of activities and meetings for every age group and provides an important resource for the community.

In 2000, to celebrate the Millennium, the Grove created some murals in the form of mosaics to represent Burscough through the eyes of the community that live here.

See the rest of the mosaics here.

Moving away from this end of Burscough, we go over the bridge which takes us out of the village centre and carry on along the road that leads us to the Burscough Memorial. Just like many villages, towns and cities accross Britain our memorial remembers all the local people who died in the World Wars to protect our country. Each November on Remembrance Sunday there is parade to the Burscough Memorial and poppies are laid in remembrance of these brave men and women.
